Adventures to number two!

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Baby #2 is coming November 10^th, 2014!!!!

 

I have ALWAYS wanted my babies to be super close in age.  Since we were so open with our family when we were trying with Tallin we decided our second pregnancy would be a surprise. Of course everyone kept asking me if we were pregnant.  Sorry if we lied to you about trying or if we were pregnant.  We really wanted to make sure we hit 12 weeks before telling people. 

Well a little about how we got this little bean.  I have always wanted my kids 15 to 18 months apart.  Yes, I am crazy for that.  I thought it would be super fun, so we started trying to get pregnant in October.  We are super excited that Tallin and baby number 2 will only be 20 months apart.

How we found out...

In the beginning of March, I babysat a family of 3 kids at their house for a week.  I decided to take a test the Sunday before I went (March 2^nd).  At first there was nothing and it said negative.  I was so hurt when I saw it, so I texted my sister-in-law about how I got a negative again.  I was so angry.  I didn’t know why my body would not let me get pregnant again. 

Now let’s back up a minute.  Yes, I said we were not going to tell anyone we were trying, but I needed to vent to someone besides Zack that knew what I was going through.  That was Kacey my sister-in-law and yes I did lie to her after if she asked me if I was pregnant.  Sorry Kacey!!  Okay, back to the story…

After I texted Kacey I went to throw the test away and decided to look at it one last time.  There was a faint line!  The test was positive.  I was a little shocked.  Later on in the day Zack had me try 2 more times and the line appeared up every time but it was a faint line.  I was still not convinced.  Then Zack decided to try to convince me by also taking a test.  Haha, yes you read that right he took a test too.  It came out negative.  I was still not convinced and said I would take another one if my period was late.  I waited a few days, took the test again, and the line was dark.  It still took me a while to believe I was pregnant.

How we told family…

We wanted to tell family on Easter, but we ended up telling earlier.  We e-mailed our brothers that are on missions to let them know first that we were pregnant.  We wanted to tell someone.  Zack’s dad accidentally saw the e-mail to his brother, so the beans were spilt and we decided to tell everyone.  We sent out Easter boxes telling of our new baby.  Here is a picture below of what we sent. I had so much fun putting them together.

3 Months. I can't believe how fast I am showing with number 2.
 I am going to get huge!

I have not really had any symptoms like when I was pregnant with Tallin, although I am always tired.  I am hoping for another boy, so Tallin will have a buddy to play with… but if it’s a girl I will be beyond excited!!!   Oh and of course our baby is due during Zack’s final’s week.  Just our luck!  However, after finals he has a 3-week break.  That will be so nice!
November cannot come soon enough. : )
