My First Blanket

I made my first blanket in my sewing class. I love it!! I am excited to make a girl one now.

First Sewing Project done woo!!!

A couple posts ago I showed you fabric and didn’t tell you what I was making. Well here is the finish product of my first project in my sewing class. Burp clothes!! They were a lot of fun to make and of course you can tell I am new at sewing, but man I am having fun!! I loved using the embroidery machine to embroider our last name on a couple burp clothes and our first boy baby name, that we have picked out. We have all of our kids names picked out ha-ha. If you know me, I like to plan ahead: )

Fabric Sale : )

Ever since I have been in my sewing class, I have been obsessed with sewing "So my husband says" Today Zack and I went to Joan's to get fabric because they had a awesome sale. Their flannel was 2.50 for a yard. I sure took advantage of this. I even let Zack pick out fabric for him to make a tie blanket. I am excited to see how it will turn out haha. I also went and got most of the fabric I needed for my sewing class. I saved $55 dollars today with coupons and with their sale they had going on. I am so excited for all the fabric I got!!! : )

The blue fabric is for the pillows I have to make. The brown and green fabric is for the baby blanket for class and then the other fabric is just for fun. P.s I am not pregnant, I am just having fun sewing!

Sewing Class

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are in town, so we all decided to go to Porters and get some fun fabric for my first project in my sewing class next week. I also got some cute other stuff for a craft that I will blog about when I finish it. I am super excited. It is so cute!!! Here is a picture of the fabric I got. I wont spoil what I am making till you can see the finish project. I am so excited to learn how to sew. I am so thankful I got a sewing machine from my aunt as a wedding present. This will make me not have to go to the sewing lab and to be able to sew at home. Can't wait to start learning everything! <3

Room make over!

I decided that it is time for a make over on my room

I have had poke a dots up since I was in high school
and it is time for a change
The new colors will be
Black, Purple and White

I sowed my first pillow for my new bed

It was harder then I thought
But my grandma stuck by my side and helped me sow it
I love it!
I can't wait till my Devu cover is done ( well I still need to start it)
